FACTS:- The Quo Vadis first opened its doors in 1966 with 1200 seats (originally). The first movie to be shown was the Doris Day comedy "The Glass bottom Boat"
- It was designed by Minoru Yamasaki, a prominent American architect of Japanese descent best known for his design of the World Trade Centers that were destroyed in the 9/11 Bombings. It is said to be a 'petri dish prototype' of a single floor for the World Trade Centers.
- Early 1968 Two small auditoriums opened upstairs where there had been a "sprawling restaurant". These were called Penthouse 1 & 2. A restaurant and bar was also opened upstairs (The Over 21 Restaurant).
- Where McDonalds, Toys 'R Us and the rest of the plaza now stand, there used to the Algiers Drive-In where QV patrons could watch movies from the bar on the 2nd Floor.
- 1970, Original auditorium was split in two, seating about 540 each. Again in the later 70's, one of the 540 seat auditoriums was split again.
- In 1986, The Quo Vadis Entertainment Center was purchased by National Amusements, who continued to operate it as a multiplex and also renamed it to its current title.
- It closed in January of 2002, with "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone", "Ali" and "Vanilla Sky" being the last movies. Its final seating capacity (total) was 1798.
